Apdesi Supporting Jokowi for 3 Periods Justifies Luhut as Chair of the Board of Trustees

Indonesian Village Government Association (Apdesi) the leadership of Surta Wijaya confirmed that Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan was the Chair of the Board of Trustees at Apdesi. Chairman of the Organizational Advisory Council (MPO) Apdesi Muhammad Asri Anas said he often met with Luhut.

“Of course his position is like that, it seems that you heard that Mr. Luhut is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees,” Asri Anas told reporters, Thursday (31/3/2022).

Anas said the communication was carried out to ask for instructions from Luhut.

“Intense and official. Please check, our hearing letter is official. If you want to meet him, our hearing letter is official. by phone It’s normal, the name asks for directions and we do that for the others,” he explained.

Asri said Luhut was directly elected as chairman of the board of trustees by the board. In addition, he explained, as much as 50 percent of the Apdesi program was under the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut.

“Development in villages is mostly development that deals with roads, bridges, clean water, and so on. For example, friends initiated tourism villages throughout Indonesia, even 2,500 new tourist villages with Mr. Sandiaga Uno, then we made a program of 7,000 villages coast in Indonesia,” he said.

“All I can say is that everything is under Pak Luhut. So 50 percent of our programs are there,” he continued.

Separately, the Secretary General of the Apdesi Asep Anwar Sadat said that Luhut officially became the Apdesi supervisory board six months ago when Surta Wijaya was the new general chairman.

“We are also only six months after being sworn in. (Luhut) Yes, we are following our management after the leadership moved to Pak Surta,” he said.

As is known, the shouts of support for Joko Widodo (Jokowi) for 3 periods echoed during the Apdesi gathering led by Surta Wijaya which was held two days ago. After that, there was another organization called Apdesi which was led by Arifin Abdul Majid.

The Ministry of Home Affairs explained that the Apdesi led by Surta was different from the one led by Arifin. There is also a difference in the names of the two organizations. However, the members are similar, namely the village heads.

“We answer about the organization. The two mass organizations are different. The notary deeds are different. One, the APDesi association (Association…). Two, the Apdesi DPP (Association… the letter ‘s’ only has one),” said the Director General of Politics and General Administration of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Bahtiar, Thursday (31/3).
