A fire broke out early on Monday, September 16, 2024, around 4 a.m., in an apartment located on the ground floor of a building on rue des Portes, in Bourg-Achard, in Eure.
The fire, limited to one room, was quickly brought under control by firefighters using a variable flow hose.
Six people evacuated
After the fire was extinguished, hot spot surveys were carried out and the building was ventilated. Six people and a dog were evacuated, including two occupants of the damaged apartment.

The latter, a 51-year-old man and a 76-year-old woman, were taken care of by the firefighters and transported to Pont-Audemer hospital in relative emergencies.
Another person, a 50-year-old woman, was taken to Elbeuf hospital, also in relative emergency. The authorities have arranged for the occupants of the apartment to be rehoused. The intervention ended around 7:30 a.m.
