Apartment fire: 49-year-old’s body found

To put out the fire that broke out this morning in an apartment on the third floor of a condominium on Via Aniene, in Ravenna, two teams from the command of the Romagna city intervened, plus two support vehicles, a ladder truck and a tanker. The fire broke out in a bedroom and, given the high content of combustible material present in the home, the products of combustion affected the entire apartment, the walls and especially the attic of the room were significantly damaged. During the extinguishing operations, the body of a 49-year-old man was found, for whom formal identification is still awaited. In order to complete the investigative operations, as ordered by the Public Prosecutor on duty Silvia Ziniti, the apartment was placed under seizure by the Investigative Unit of the Ravenna Carabinieri who are carrying out the investigations in collaboration with the Nia (Fire Investigation Unit) of the firefighters from the Bologna command.
