Literally like his hit, Apache 207 hit like a comet at his Dresden concert. A good 13,000 people celebrated on Thursday evening at the film nights, on the Elbe meadows and the surrounding bridges – for many it was obviously a family trip before the summer holidays.
After an intro by four drummers dressed in white, the curtain fell from the stage. And suddenly there was a gas station on the banks of the Elbe with a petrol pump and a white Mercedes-Benz. At his Dresden premiere, the rapper from Ludwigshafen “sailed” through the audience in a boat, among other things. The film song for “Titanic” by Céline Dion was played and the whole bank of the Elbe sang fervently “My heart will go on”. The 25-year-old shooting star skilfully played with the audience: “… everyone join in! You too on the bridges and off the site…”.
The Apache was not alone in presenting his current hit “Komet”, the version with Udo Lindenberg that is being played on the radio. As is often the case at his concerts, he got support from fans on stage. This time it was a young lady named Kim, whose strong performance was rewarded with strong applause from the audience. Of course, fireworks and pyrotechnics could not be missing from “Komet”.
A successful summer evening on the banks of the Elbe and the Apache wants to come back. “Thank you Dresden!”
