On Monday, November 25, 2024, the final game of the 55th Memorial Meiji-Jingu Baseball Tournament University Division was held, with the university’s first four university titles at stake. Last year, the university’s baseball team won the Toto University Baseball Spring and Fall League games and the All-Japan University Baseball Championship to enter the Meiji-Jingu Baseball Tournament, but they lost in the finals and unfortunately fell just short of winning the university’s fourth title. It was. Captains Yasushi Sasaki and Fumiaki Nishikawa, who were both drafted first in the 2024 Professional Baseball Draft Conference, and Koichiro Oda, who was a regular season clean-up, were absent due to injuries, leaving only four players in the starting lineup. Although the finals of this tournament were played without any of the students, the team came together as one and won the Meiji-Jingu tournament for the first time.
