Aoita confirmed that the intercity buses will return on Tuesday – Informed, upon return

This Friday’s negotiation between Fetap and Aoita successfully advanced the final details to confirm the return of the interurban busess in the province, after the announcement of Resolution 175 of December 4.

In dialogue with Chain 3, the general secretary of Aoita Córdoba, Emiliano Gramajo, indicated that between “20 to 25% of the total units of the system will operate again from this Tuesday.”

“The routes throughout the province will be the same again. Surely the companies will be communicating the schedules,” he said.

This is very important news for users and workers after more than eight months. We could not continue with the system stopped, we needed to go back to work.

“It is important to highlight that we are once again agreeing with the business side. Our intention is to continue and work while the signed agreements are respected,” he said.

The secretary general also confirmed that the collection of tickets through cash will be set aside to avoid manipulating it in the context of a pandemic.

“The protocol is clear. The money will not be allowed above the units. Some companies already have the virtual payment facility. Technology will be a very important engine to prevent contagion,” he said.

Regarding salaries, Gramajo said that on December 14 the workers will receive a sum of money on account of the November salary and that it will be completed in its entirety next Friday.

“While on December 22 they will deposit a sum on account of the Christmas bonus,” he added.

Alejandro Ugalde, spokesperson and legal advisor for Fetap, told Chain 3 that it is a “conjunctural agreement signed for the emergency situation, which includes the assets until December.

An agreement was signed in which, as a first measure, the salary part had to be addressed to restore services, but these are not the optimal conditions that we wanted as entrepreneurs

“The only thing that has been achieved through the State is a credit with the official bank. We are going to wait for the service to be put in motion and see the results of the level of passengers But we continue to say that the funds are insufficient beyond that today State gave us an important loan to get this started, “he said.

It is necessary to continue working to find a fundamental solution. This is just a ‘short path’ to see how we get out of this

Finally, Ugalde specified that although the agreement is “until December”, they have signed a clause in which the businessmen commit to maintaining the sources of work until March 2021.

Hopefully this agreement is for a long time and forever, but the truth is that everything is dynamic and is changing minute by minute.

“We need national and provincial subsidies to keep coming. We need to reactivate the rate to cover potholes that are created,” he concluded.

For its part, the Testing Center of coronavirus located in the Bus Terminal, it will move to the Cordoba Cultural Center.
