AOC will release 27″-240Hz monitor with mini LED backlight in June for 1299 euros – Computer – News

AOC will release its AGON PRO AG274QZM monitor next month. The screen has a 27″ IPS panel with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and is equipped with a mini LED backlight with 576 dimmable zones. The maximum brightness is 1200cd/m².

The AGON PRO AG274QZM monitor is DisplayHDR 1000 certified and has a gray-to-gray response time of 1ms according to the manufacturer. It is the first 240Hz monitor of 27″ with a mini LED backlight. AOC has had a 170Hz variant in its range since last year. It costs about 1000 euros.

With its 240Hz panel, the screen is aimed at gamers, but the monitor also features a USB-C connection with 65W power delivery, a hub with four USB-A ports and a KVM switch. This makes it possible to connect a keyboard and mouse to the monitor and to switch between, for example, laptop and PC.

On the back of the housing are RGB LEDs and the monitor also has a built-in projector that can project the AOC logo on the desk. The manufacturer supplies the monitor with a puck-shaped QuickSwitch controller, with which the settings of the screen can be adjusted.

At the beginning of this year, AOC, together with Nvidia, presented a 300Hz variant of the screen: the AG274QGM. It has not been announced when that performance will be released and what it will cost. MSI and ViewSonic would also release such monitors.

According to AOC, the AG274QZM is for sale from June for a suggested retail price of 1299 euros. The monitor is already in the Pricewatch at a number of suppliers for just under 1200 euros, but with an unknown delivery time.
