Today we are giving away the. As part of our advent calendar competition Gaming-Monitor 24G2U from AOCwho wants to score points above all with bright colors, a barely existing border and speed in image reproduction. This text reveals what that means in detail and what you can expect accordingly.
Narrow bezel for multi-screen configurations
With a screen size of 23.8 inches diagonally, the 24G2U it has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The almost missing edge of the screen is striking. AOC wants to direct full concentration on the content displayed on the monitor. In addition, the tightly dimensioned edge allows setups with several monitors – the image can be displayed almost seamlessly on three models, for example, which leads to better visibility of details and even deeper immersion in the game. This means that AOC has its finger on the pulse of the times – with PC monitors, too, the trend is increasingly towards borderlessness.
Smooth picture thanks to 144 Hz and Free-Sync technology
An update rate of 144 Hz and the free sync technology used should ensure the image quality itself. Both serve the smooth transition from picture to picture – without jerks and dropouts in fast picture sequences, as are typical for ego shooters or racing simulations. The free sync technology ensures that the image update rates of the monitor and GPU are synchronized so as not to waste valuable potential. The response time of the monitor, however, is one millisecond. AOC thus ensures that the device can display fast image sequences without ghosting effects.
Other specifications: variety of colors and co
Furthermore, the IPS monitor can boast 16.7 million colors, an Adobe RGB coverage of 108 percent and an sRGB coverage of 126 percent. The dynamic contrast is 20M: 1, the static contrast is 1000: 1.
