Wever wanted to invest his money in energy. When he heard about the electricity problems in Ukraine, the choice was quickly made for him. He has joined forces with Stichting De Leeuw Kyiv, a partnership of Dutch entrepreneurs who had to leave Ukraine because of the war. The foundation ensures that a truck with goods leaves for Ukraine every day.
Due to energy problems, they also supply the country with generators with which electricity can be generated. The first cars were stored in the parks of the liberated city of Kherson. It costs 380 euros to get such a generator in Ukraine. This is exactly the price of energy compensation. In the meantime, around 20,000 euros have been raised in a day and a half. “The reactions are heartwarming,” Wever said.
