Anwar Usman wins court case, PTUN reverses Chief Justice Suhartoyo’s order

JAKARTA – High Administrative Court ( PTUN ) Jakarta provided part of the Constitutional Judge’s trial Anwar Usman or uncle to Gibran Rakabuming Raka. The PTUN asked the Constitutional Court (MK) to revoke the order appointing Suhartoyo as Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court.

“Dismiss the trial in part,” read decision number 604/G/2023/PTUN.JKT.

In its decision, the PTUN requested that the decision of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 17 of 2023, dated 9 November 2023 regarding the appointment of Dr. Suhartoyo, SH, MH as Chairman of the Constitutional Court for the 2023-2028 Term to be invalid or invalid.

“Request the defendant to revoke the Decision of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia No: 17 of 2023, 9 November 2023 regarding the Appointment of Dr. Suhartoyo, SH, MH as Chairman of the Constitutional Court for the term 2023-2028,” he continued.

The decision also said that it had allowed Anwar Usman’s request to restore his former honor and dignity as a Constitutional Judge.

However, the PTUN did not accept Anwar Usman’s return to his position as Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court.
