Amman: “The Gulf”
Jordanian artist Anwar Khalil confirmed his carpentry practice in a specialist shop in Amman to play his dramatic character in the film “Wussa Ghorab”, whose producer Issam Hijjawi has announced the start of filming.
Khalil said he appears in the film, written by Walid Imad and directed by Alaa Rababah, as the owner of a carpentry shop who works to train a young man for the profession before facing social breakthroughs that lead to various problems.
He said: I wanted to go to a carpentry whose owner I know, I was observing him for 3 hours a day and I asked him to do some work; To master it and accurately appear in the film.
Khalil indicated that he repeated the same thing when he played the character “Farran” in an earlier play; Where he stayed in a “bakery” before playing the character in front of the camera.
He added: These details are very important so that the viewer is convinced of what he sees and the actor does not fail to address the dimensions of the role.
Khalil said young actor Najm Al-Zawahra plays the lead role in the film and Emirati artist Dr. Habib Ghuloom along with Jordanian artists, including Shaker Jaber, Rima Al-Sheikh, Dima Sahweil, Ibrahim Abu Al-Khair and Shehab Hajjaj, is part of a new film series called “Humaniyyat”.
