ANVIL, a shooting action game developed by Action Square and serviced by global publisher HIKE, announced on the 21st that it will start its official service through Steam on the 27th. A new video will be released on the official page at 8:00 pm today.
Anvil is a roguelike top-down shooting action game in which several players select various characters and progress through the stages in cooperation. It has attracted the attention of many global gamers with Early Access through Steam in 2021.
This official service will be released as a Steam version. An operation system that guides the game by voice, reflecting users’ opinions about the game, and a new breaker Valkyrie that summons a giant robot are added. In addition, PVP (Player vs. Player) mode, which many users have longed for, will be added, large-scale balance adjustments, UX (user experience) / UI (user interface) reorganization, and many other new features will be introduced.
In the newly released teaser video along with the official release date, users can check out the new breaker, new operator system, and new contents, raising the expectations of users. Action Square plans to update various new contents in line with the official service period, and plans to actively communicate with users through the official service page of the publisher HIKE, the Steam community, and the official Discord.
Meanwhile, Hike is the changed name of Crest, which Action Square signed an Anvil global publishing contract with in January. Established in 2018, it is a Japanese game publishing company that serves various games together with publishing partners. It continues to grow through the expansion of various businesses such as animation production, product planning, and producing.
CEO Kim Yeon-joon said, “Thank you for your interest in Anvil,” and added, “We will do our best to introduce high-quality game services with Hike, which has a high understanding of the global game market.”
