There will be no fireplaces on the roof of the Antwerp Ring Road. They are supposed to purify the air, but Lantis has decided to do without them after a study by VITO. According to the study, the chimneys have hardly any impact on air quality. Lantis is now going to collaborate with the University of Antwerp to find out what can ensure cleaner air.
