Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – AnTuTu is a popular benchmark application and is commonly used to determine the performance of Android cellphones.
Recently they released the performance rankings for Android cellphones for January 2024. This month, MediaTek chipsets occupy the top position in the flagship and mid-range cellphone categories.
In the flagship segment, the Oppo Find This puts it slightly ahead of the iQOO 12 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen and Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 which scored 2,206,859 and 2,204,998 respectively.
Despite Dimensity’s lead, the gap between the top three companies is very narrow. This shows intense competition between chipset vendors, especially in cooling systems which contribute to their superiority.
Meanwhile, in the middle class or mid-range, the superior is MediaTek. Redmi K70E equipped with Dimensity 8300 Ultra got a score of 1382150, far surpassing the Realme GT Neo5 SE with Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 which got a score of 1,152,981.
