Actor and Presenter Antti Holma recently started a new podcast Antti’s film club.

The opening episode of the podcast caused a stir on social media and headlines, because the actor very harshly criticized people in the film industry, such as Antti J. Jokista and Pihla Viitalaa.

Holma apologizes

Holma presented his public apology in the second episode of the podcast. He admits that he went too far in his speech.

– I want everyone to improvise a bit, as if I were talking about some distant Kardashian, and not about a real person at all – who, on top of that, I know, Holma reasoned.

Holma says that his judgment failed him.

– I said, hasn’t Pihla Viitala ever given an interview in which she said that her child prevented her Hollywood dreams. The answer to this is that it really isn’t.

– Pihla has once spoken about the fact that she was once pressured by American productions with family issues, which is terrible, oppressive and wrong. I have no right to come up with a title out of my head based on this and connect it to the lives of two people. The most shameful thing here is that I was talking about mother and child. Children should be left alone anyway.

Holma clarifies that she has nothing against Viitala personally or professionally. He is ashamed of his own speech.

– This matter has now been cut out and for a reason, Holma says.
