Antonio Sánchez remembers the first time Mallorca scored at the Bernabéu | Radio Mallorca

April 5, 1970 the Real Mallorca managed, for the first time in its history, to score in the Santiago Bernabeu. It was the 28th day of the league and the Vermilion team ended up relegation to the Second Division with a balance of 22 points, 7 games won, 8 draws and 15 defeats. They fell with the vermilion team Pontevedra, bottom with 13 points, and Deportivo de la Coruña with 25.

In that meeting, Real Mallorca managed to get ahead in the Madrid fiefdom thanks to the goal of Antonio Sanchez: “We were very excited, it was a pity that they tied us so quickly” the former player recalls in Ser Deportivos.
