Cuiabá confirmed, on social media, the departure of António Oliveira to Corinthians, who paid the Portuguese coach’s release clause.
«Cuiabá informs that António Oliveira is no longer the team’s coach. The Portuguese accepted Corinthians’ proposal and asked to leave Dourado – the São Paulo team paid the termination fine stipulated in the contract in the amount of R$1,040,000 (€194,438.47).»
António Oliveira will therefore head to Corinthians and will take with him the technical team made up of Bruno Lazaroni, Bernardo Franco, Diego Favarin and Felipe Zilio.
Luiz Fernando Iubel will be Cuiabá’s interim coach, until the Brazilian team finds the Portuguese coach’s replacement.
