Many had tried to stop him and convince him to stay, but unfortunately no one had succeeded. By now he had made up his mind.
Was present for one edition only of Bake Off, but everyone had become so fond of him, to the point of trying a huge disappointment when he decided to leave the program.
For the protagonists of the edition it was “the good judge“, because he treated everyone with kindness, unlike his colleague Ernst Knam, who has always been rather strict with aspiring pastry chefs. This doesn’t mean that the German chocolate king isn’t kind because in reality he is. Unlike the “good judge”, however, he keeps his sweeter side rather hidden.
Precisely this aspect of the “good judge” was immediately appreciated by the “Bake Off” contestants and by the audience at home, who immediately became fond of him. Women in particular had a great affection for him because of his charm, so much so that they defined him as “the handsome judge“.
What a shame that he’s gone though. His absence made way for the entry of pastry chef Damiano Carrara, but it still created a certain void in the hearts of fans. They really loved him.
The desire to start a new project
It is not clear why he wanted to abandon “Bake Off”, but it seems that his exit from the program was due to desire to start a new project. This is what can be perceived from the words which attempt to explain the reason for his farewell and which were pronounced by him in an interview with Daniela Basilico which was also reported on Notizie.it: “the time has come to turn the page and to write, together with the numerous people who send me messages every day, new chapters, new emotions, a new Italy.”
It therefore seems that behind the abandonment of “Bake Off” there is a firm decision. What a great disappointment though. He was a fantastic judge.

Protagonist for only one edition but in everyone’s heart
Have you understood who the “good judge” who said goodbye to “Bake Off” is? It’s about Antonio Lamberto Martinothe pastry chef who he took part in the 2016 editionbut who left the program immediately after its conclusion.
After him Damiano Carrara entered the program and became one of its regular protagonists, but everyone continues to fondly remember Antonio, his pastry chef skills and above all his kindness. He was a really good judge.
