Antonio de la Torre and Carlos Latre will be at the Jovellanos theater

Antonio de la Torre, Pere Ponce, Mamen García, Jorge Roelas or Juanjo Cucalón are some of the actors known for their theater and television careers who will be seen in Gijón between April and June. The program from April to June of the Jovellanos theater includes a lot of theater, but also dance, the humor of Carlos Latre or the music that the Asturian Celtic Orchestra will bring.

Starting with the theatre, on April 3, “AKA” will be performed, MAX Award for Best New Theatrical Text and Leading Actor, with dramaturgy by Daniel J. Meyer. On the day the National Dramatic Center will show “RIF (of lice and mustard gas”, with Arantxa Arangueren and Juanjo Cucalón in the cast. That month, on the 21st, the Asturian company “Teatro a las Puertas” will premiere “The Guests”, with Cris Puerta or Carlos Dávila in the cast, and on the 23rd “Atalaya Teatro” will do a montage of Shakespeare’s “King Lear”.

May will be for “Los pazos de Ulloa”, with Pere Ponce in the cast, for the 14th, in an adaptation of the play by Emilia Pardo Bazán. And the Asturian “Factoría Norte”, on the 18th, will go up to the stage of the Jovellanos “The Asturian Sisters”, on the 20th, so that the next day Antonio de la Torre will arrive in Gijón together with María Morales with the work “Un hombre de paso” ”.

To close with the theatre, in June, an interesting proposal will be on the 4th, with “Ojos que no ven”, a family affair, with a cast that includes Mamen García, Mar Abascal and Jorge Roelas. “As a noble queen as you are”, with Mayra Fernández and Manu Lobo, will be the other interesting work.

Carlos Latre will put a touch of humor with his comedy show “One man show”, which will have three sessions, between June 10 and 12. While the musical theater will appear in Gijón between May 27 and 29 with four sessions of “The function that goes wrong”, in a comedy that mixes Monty Python and Sherlock Holmes.

Dance, for its part, will receive the companies of Rafaela Carrasco and Eduardo Guerrero on April 2 and May 13, with their respective shows. While music, together with the “Encaja2” cycle, the OSPA and the classical concerts of the Philharmonic Society will also have a special appointment with the Asturian Celtic Orchestra on May 7. And also, from April 29 to May 1, time for the LEV Festival.
