Sure enough! Tottenham players have been overwhelmed by training with Conte. Kane and friends were made to gasp for air, tear up, and even vomit.

How not, Conte forced his players to run around the Seoul World Cup Stadium field 42 times, which in total is 4.2 kilometers. What’s more, Kane et al did it under the hot Korean sun, where the temperature reached 30 degrees!

Son, who is a native Korean player, even immediately fell on his back on the field. While Kane was vomiting due to fatigue made by the manager.

It’s the first time Tottenham Hotspur experience pre-season training with Antonio Conte. This is because the former manager of Bari, Atalanta, Siena, Juventus, the Italian national team and Chelsea only coached The Lilywhites in November last year, or in the middle of the 2021/2022 season.

Hobbies Torturing Players

It’s not just Tottenham players that Conte is confused about. Those who have experienced being trained by the allenatore, must have a similar story.

Chiellini, a former Italy and Juventus defender, called Conte a police sergeant. Because, the coach is considered to be able to make his players die of exhaustion from training hard.

“Italian passion. Not only in matches. Throughout the day in training, he is like a police sergeant. We feel there is something special with him, three years with him at Juventus and two years in the national team,” said Chiellini, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Former Chelsea captain, John Terry, also has a similar perception with Chiellini. Having been coached by Conte, Terry thinks the coach is more demanding than other Italian coaches.

“His coaching style is very typical of Italy. Coaches and managers from Italy over the years do have something in common, namely concentrating very much on the physical aspect of the game,” Terry said of Antonio Conte on GQ, some time ago.

“We were probably asked to run more often than under previous managers. The physical work in the gym is also much harder and the body fat of every player has dropped a lot since Conte arrived,” he said.

When coaching Inter and Tottenham, the hard training method ala Antonio Conte re-applied. If Juventus, Chelsea and Inter Milan can he take the trophy, what’s next Tottenham Hotspur can taste the trophy?
