Eric was present every day in the 12 midday strokes of Jean-Luc Reichmann since November 21, 2019. This Friday, June 19, the Breton champion that the host liked to call “Fantastérix” ended up being eliminated from the daily game. So he bows after 199 participations and total earnings of 921 316€, which makes him the greatest noon master of all time. He is also the second biggest winner in a game show of all time (the record is still held by Marie, who had won a million euros in 2004 in Who wants to earn millions). Eric’s career has been particularly followed in recent months because he has finally managed to forget the previous records of participations and gains of Christian Quesada, fallen champion of the game. Eric also finishes his race in the 12 noon with 62 master shots and 7 mysterious stars discovered.
In an interview with Linternaute.com, Eric did not hide his disappointment to fail at the foot of the symbolic bar of 200 participations. “There is a touch of disappointment, I do not hide it from you. But ultimately it is more a symbolic objective than anything else. The main thing for me is to have taken the first place. The day of his 199e participation, Eric made two mistakes in a row on a piecemeal basis. In addition to six months of participation, Eric is however the greatest master of the 12 midday strokes and it will be necessary to replace him!
On the show, Eric reacted with philosophy to his surprise elimination of the 12 noon shots: “Nothing is ever for granted” he launched before wishing the best to Colas, his replacement. “I want Colas to go very far, I think he has the potential to go very far.” He also praised the teams of the show who “are really great. We are very well received”. Addressed to Jean-Luc Reichmann, the host who accompanied him during these long months, he explained that the 12 noon shots will remain “a unique moment in my life”.

The classification of the 12 noon strokes was turned upside down by the participation of Eric. Arrived in the game of Jean-Luc Reichmann on November 21, 2019, the Breton master left him on June 19, 2020 after 199 participations and a total of € 921,316 in earnings. He defeated Christian Quesada, who had remained the champion of the game for a long time with 193 participations and € 809,392 in winnings. After him comes Paul with € 691,522 and 153 entries, then Véronique with exactly 100 entries and € 447,226 in earnings. Then come Timothée with 83 participations and € 353,348 and Benoît with 82 participations and € 397,946 in total.
Christian Quesada, the greatest master of the 12 noon shots, was sentenced to three years in prison for “possession and dissemination of child pornography” and “corruption of a minor”. Placed in pre-trial detention for a year, the former candidate for the 12 noon blows had admitted the facts of which he was accused but had refuted any physical contact and any sexual assault of the victims. As a reminder, Christian Quesada is the holder of the participation record (193 victories in a row) and gain (€ 809,392) in the history of the show. He participated from July 4, 2016 to January 14, 2017.

Nicknamed Zette, the voice-over of the game Les 12 coups de midi is embodied by Isabelle Benhadj. Arriving six months after the launch of the 12 noon shots in 2010, she had met Jean-Luc Reichmann in 1987 on Fun Radio where she was a host. His voice is also present in other television programs like Secrets d’Histoire on France 2.
