Antonia Barra case: Court of Appeals will review precautionary measures of Martín Pradenas

The Second Chamber of the Court of Appeals of Temuco will review this Friday the resources presented in order to revoke the house arrest of Martín Pradenas, accused of raping Antonia Barra, a 21-year-old university student who, after suffering the abuse, committed suicide in the capital of La Araucanía, in October 2019.

The La Araucanía Prosecutor’s Office and the plaintiffs in the case are seeking a preventive detention against Pradenas, after the resolution of this Wednesday generated a series of protests nationwide.

With this, seeks to replace in the accusation two alleged crimes of Pradenas, which were considered as prescribed in the formalization.

The hearing will take place at 08:30 this Friday.
