Anton Kutev: The cabinet did not ignore Kovid, but what to do – no money ?!

The idea of testing children at the school entrance to return to class is being discussed

The Cabinet did not ignore the coronary crisis, but there was no opportunity to conduct an effective vaccination campaign. This was explained by the spokesman of the official cabinet Anton Kutev in the show “120 minutes” on BTV.

“In the last parliament there was an update of the budget and in this update there was a proposal for some millions by Alexander Simidchiev to go for a campaign, but the parliament did not accept them. The very fact that we are in caretaker governments was part of the problem “We get to this point. We have very high mortality and very low levels of vaccination. The question is how public the vaccination campaign can be when it is not financially secured,” Kutev commented.

According to him, the Bulgarian is skeptical about vaccines, but the only other option to limit the infection is isolation. “It can be done through a lockdown, as Bulgaria did last year. The gardens were closed, Vitosha could not be walked. The other option is the green certificate. This is the easy option,” he explained.

According to him, the government has done everything possible not to close the country and not to reach a lockdown. “It would have been much easier for President Radev to campaign and not deal with the infection. None of us has escaped responsibility. We are trying to take responsibility in a complex society, including the president and the health minister, to whom they want to resign every day, “Kutev added.

He described the parties’ comments on the subject as pre-election populism and explained that “the cabinet is not running in the elections”. He reaffirmed the government’s intention to return the children to face-to-face education as soon as possible. There were ideas to be tested early in the morning in front of the school entrance.

“The Minister of Health has repeatedly explained that he would not allow himself to be confused on the children’s noses, noses and mouths, because this will traumatize them. As far as I know, there is a possibility to do it with lollipops or other similar means,” Kutev added.

“Education is extremely important, we must do everything to get them back to school, but human lives must be saved, because each of these children has mothers, fathers, grandparents,” the spokesman added.

He vaccinated himself in March, but not out of concern for his own health, but as a socially responsible act. “I didn’t do it for myself. I play sports, I consider myself a healthy person. I did it for others. It’s my responsibility. I was vaccinated with the thought that I was doing something not for myself, but for society,” he explained.

Kutev accused GERB leader Boyko Borissov of lying and causing public unrest over allegations that expired Pfizer vaccines were being given. He explained that the vaccines have an extended shelf life from the EU, and the Ministry of Health has already issued an opinion on the subject. “First this was released by Toma Bikov, then by Boyko Borissov. Borisov caused confusion in the society. His deputies submitted a proposal for punishment against fake news about COVID-19. Now the same person comes out and explains to us … This is an absolute action against vaccination. It must pass not only through the prosecutor’s office, because this is a law that he has passed, but it should no longer be in politics, “Kutev commented sharply.
