Anton Blomqvist has been presented by HV71. The 34-year-old brings Fredrik Stillman as assistant coach – and takes over the head coach responsibility from Johan Lindbom himself.

It was said that Johan Lindbom would continue as head coach for HV71 next season as well. But now it is clear that Anton Blomqvist will take over the role of head coach in HV71 from next season.
“Blomman” most recently comes from AIK in the Hockeyallsvenskan. He also brings radar partner Fredrik Stillman with him, who accompanies him back to HV71.
– Anton is a modern coach who has done incredibly well for several years with AIK. He has the profile we were looking for with high standards, a strong drive and great commitment. We are convinced that Anton has the tools required to take HV71 to the next level, says Andreas Davidsson, acting chairman of the club.

Anton Blomqvist has previously worked as a junior coach in Malmö before spending four years in AIK as head coach. There were mixed results, with last season being the best with a third place and quarter-final.
“Blomman” and Fredrik Stillman have signed contracts until 2026, at the same time they are both complemented by Johan Davidsson, who is under contract until 2025. Joel Gistedt is also still at the club as goalkeeper coach.
It is noteworthy that Stillman was fired by the club 14 months ago, but now gets the chance to come back to the club. From before, he is a legend in Jönköping with fourth most games played for the club, as well as twelve seasons as a leader in HV71.
