Anticipating Landslides, Cliffs on Emplak Pangandaran Highway Installed Gabions

Pangandaran News, (harapanrakyat.com), – Anticipating the occurrence of landslides, the government through the Ministry of PUPR installed gabions on Emplak highway, Kalipucang District, Pangandaran, Monday (29/11/2021).

Considering that it is currently the rainy season, the installation of gabions is important, especially on the main route to Pangandaran.

Dedi, one of the project workers, said that the gabions that will be installed on the Emplak cliff are 50 meters long.

“This cliff has a slope height of 5 to 7 meters, below it is a ravine so gabions must be installed,” said Dedi.

When asked how much was the budget for the bronjong project in Emplak, Dedi admitted that he did not know.

“We’re just working on the field,” he said.

Meanwhile, HR Online monitoring at the gabion installation location on Emplak road to Pangandaran did not have a project signboard.

So that the community cannot know how much the project budget will cost and how long the process will take.

“We don’t know about that, what is clear is that these gabions are installed to strengthen the soil so that there is no landslide on the Emplak highway, we will work as best we can,” he concluded. (Entang/R8/HR Online/Jujang Editor)
