Anticipating this, the head of Rutan 1 Medan Theo Adrianus in collaboration with the health office of the city of Medan carried out the nebulization spraying in the office area and residential blocks for the detainees.
The head of the detention center also encourages residents to continue paying attention to their surroundings, especially the flow of water that can become a breeding ground for the Aedes aegypti mosquito that causes dengue fever.
Inmates from Rutan 1 Medan also expressed their gratitude for the dengue mist spraying in the detention center area considering the vulnerability of dengue transmission in rainy seasons like this one.
So far, Rutan I Medan is still barren from dengue outbreaks or other serious infectious diseases in detention center inmates. Therefore, preventive measures are taken as soon as possible.
The head of the detention center also urges all detainees to report immediately to the officers to be taken to the detention center clinic if they complain of symptoms of illness for immediate treatment.
