Anticipating Dengue Fever, Denpasar Health Office Conducts Fogging in the Dauh Puri Village Area

DENPASAR | patrolpost.com – Entering the rainy season, the Denpasar City Health Office (Dinkes) and Dauh Puri Village held fogging, Saturday (19/3/2022). This activity is aimed at tackling the spread of various viral diseases, such as Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) and Cikungunya.

“The activity was facilitated by the Denpasar City Health Office and supported by the West Denpasar Health Center II through the Jumantik Coordinator who immediately paid attention to the field,” said Dauh Puri Village Head, I Gusti Ngurah Arnawa.

Arnawa said the fogging activity was focused on the Banjar Pekambingan, Jalan Pulau Buru III. This activity was intensified because there were reports from residents that previously in the Banjar Pekambingan area it was found as many as 6 residents experiencing symptoms similar to Cikungunya disease. This report is forwarded to the kelurahan which is immediately followed up for fogging.

“In this activity, 2 Jumantik teams were deployed, 1 coordinator and 5 fogging officers. The latest report is that all those who experienced symptoms similar to Cikungunya have fully recovered,” he explained.

Furthermore, Arnawa hopes that this active fogging will be able to effectively tackle the spread of rainy season diseases.

“We also thank the Denpasar City Government, in this case the Health Office, for their attention and quick response to citizen reports,” he said.

In addition, in this rainy season, his party also intensively conducts socialization so that the community actively participates in the 3M movement, namely closing, draining and burying used goods that have the potential as mosquito nests. (030)
