“Is this what happens when you defend Gaza? This is the Nazi establishment of universities.”
After the sit-in protest at Columbia University in New York the day before yesterday, the police are stopping protesters continuing.
Currently, it is estimated that the number of universities participating in the anti-war protests is at least 40 universities and up to 100, although there are differences in the number of ‘ universities in the United States.
In addition, at least 200 students have been arrested at UCLA alone, and the number of students arrested during protests so far exceeds 2,000.
President Biden held a meeting today and gave a neutral message: “We respect freedom of expression, but please maintain order. ”

“The first is freedom of expression, the right of people to assemble peacefully and have their voices heard. The second is the rule of law. Both must be observed.”
When asked if he would review his Middle East policy in light of the protests, he said he had not and would not deploy troops to restore order.
This protest is similar to the 1968 protest against the Vietnam War in that it started at Columbia University and college students are protesting the government’s foreign policy of “military aid to Israel.”
