‘Anti-vaccines’ ask that the decrees that require the presentation of the vaccination card be restricted

Some doctors, citizens of El Alto, evangelical churches, peasants and former union leaders This afternoon they presented a popular action appeal against decrees 4640 and 4641 that require the vaccination card or a PCR test to all people who require care in public and private institutions. The petitioners demand that ‘precautionary measures’ be applied to both decrees, which means that they could be suspended in their application.

“We have clearly requested the request for precautionary measures to the two decrees, the cessation of the order that establishes the requirement of the card of vaccination in public and private entities. We request these measures until the case is resolved ”, declared Pastor Luis Aruquipa, representative of the evangelical churches.

On December 22, the Government promulgated decrees 4640 and 4641 Through which every citizen has two alternatives to carry out their activities: show their vaccination card or a PCR test issued by a private laboratory. Those two decrees entered into force on January 1 and the organizations spoke out against the two norms.

“The Popular Action aims to guarantee the collective rights and interests, related to heritage, space, public safety and health, the environment and others of a similar nature recognized by the Political Constitution of the State, when they by act or omission of the authorities or natural or legal persons they are violated or threatened”Indicates article 68 of the Constitutional Procedural Code that governs these cases and to which these groups adhere. Article 69 indicates which persons or who can present this constitutional appeal.

The demand

“We summon the Minister of Justice (Iván Lima) to tell us if it is fair that the requirement of the license and that is why it is forbidden to buy food; and the Minister of Labor (Verónica Navia) to see if it is fair that a person, because you do not have a license, you cannot carry out your work“Said doctor Guery Cordero when referring to the lawsuit.

He admitted that the people who demanded the unconstitutionality of the two decrees They are a minority, but ask for respect for that minority, because they do not question the people who freely decided to get vaccinated.

Like the peasants and civic of El Alto, demanded compliance with Law 1359 that orders the Ministry of Health to adopt measures so that people who do not want to be vaccinated have an alternative method.

In 10 days, the Constitutional Court of La Paz will have to define if you accept the request of these organizations or agree with the Government.
