Hundreds of anti-vaccine protesters marched through the British capital on Monday when some of them broke the security of ITN headquarters, where programs for the ITV news channels, Channel 4 and Channel 5 are produced.

Police have limited themselves to reporting that the protesters later left the building, which was still under heavy police protection on Monday afternoon.

“The attack on journalists for their information on the coronavirus is a worrying development that ITN is closely monitoring,” a company spokesperson commented. “This action has had the consequence of preventing journalists from continuing their information activities, which ITN strongly condemns,” he added.

In early August, dozens of people turned out to demonstrate outside the former BBC premises in West London, now occupied by other media outlets. They were dispersed by the Police.

90% of adults, already vaccinated

Vaccination against covid-19 is not mandatory in Britain, where the ‘antivaxx’ movement is very limited, according to AFP. About 90% of adults have received at least one dose – about 70% of the total population.

For now, the Government of Boris Johnson has not introduced the health pass, but has warned that in September it could do so to access discos or stadiums.
