KPK they did not find the Governor of South Kalimantan (Kalsel) Sahbir Noor or Uncle Birin. The Corruption Eradication Committee hopes that Sahbirin will be knighted by taking responsibility for the alleged bribe he received.
“The people are also waiting, waiting, those who voted for the person involved, actually want the person involved in their area to be responsible, and to be able to to be a hero appearing. I think that’s how it is,” said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika at the KPK building, Jakarta, Friday (8/11/2024).
Regarding the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) which has not yet issued DPO status to Sahbirin, Tessa said that investigators still have information about the South Kalimantan Governor’s position. In addition, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has submitted a request to Immigration so that Sahbirin cannot leave the country.

“Secondly, the information I received is that investigators still have options for information about the location of that person. So the search process for that person is still going on,” said e.
Tessa said that DPO status would be granted if all investigative options were carried out. The DPO, according to him, will be issued if all investigative options have been carried out.
“Usually a DPO is issued after all options have been exhausted and nothing else is available, there is no information of any kind, law enforcement issue a DPO,” he said.
“But the information we get is still information we don’t have share openly here, for investigators to investigate, coming to see for the whereabouts of the person involved,” he said.
KPK believes that Sahbirin Noor is still in RI
Before that, the KPK had searched several places to find out the whereabouts of South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor or Uncle Birin, who was suspected in a corruption case. The KPK believes that Sahbirin is still in Indonesia.
“Yes, so far we are sure that the person concerned (Sahbirin) is still in Indonesia,” said KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur Rahayu at the KPK ACLC building, Wednesday (6/11).
Asep said his party had applied to Immigration to prevent Sahbirin from leaving the country. He said there were several steps investigators would take to find Sahbirin.
“Well, we’ll look for that too. So we have terms and conditions. Time limits therefore we are investigating. Then, after a certain time we will study, we will already consider where this will go therefore “Going abroad or wherever, we will make the following efforts,” he said.
