Anthony Sinisuka Ginting eliminated in the quarterfinals Australia Open 2023. Ginting lost the rubber game to India’s representative, Prannoy HS.
The quarter-finals for the Australian Open men’s singles match Ginting and Prannoy. The duel took place at the State Sports Center, Friday (4/8/2023) afternoon WIB.
Ginting started the first set firmly. The world number 2 badminton player was able to outperform Prannoy 11-6 in the interval.
Prannoy tried to close the gap after the interval, but was unable to catch up. Ginting closed the first set with an advantage 21-16.
The battle was fierce entering the second set. Points followed until the score was tied at 9-9 before Prannoy took a 11-9 lead entering the interval.
Ginting trailed by five points 10-15 after the second interval. Prannoy was able to maintain the lead and ended the set with a score 21-17. Rubber game!
Ginting was trailing 0-4 at the start of the third set, before leveling the score at 5-5. However, Prannoy pulled the gap again and took an 11-7 lead at the interval.
It was increasingly difficult for Prannoy to stop Anthony Ginting after the third interval. Prannoy finished the duel victorious 21-14.
With this result, all Indonesian representatives in the Australian Open 2023 men’s singles number have run out. The only Indonesian representatives left are Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto in the men’s doubles.
