Anthony felt proud and happy after being approved as a civil servant. Because Antony sees that the government can care more about the welfare of athletes in the future, after defending red and white desperately in the international arena.

“Yes, of course I am grateful that today I can be officially appointed as a civil servant,” said the badminton player who is now ranked 2nd in the world.

“This is clear evidence that the government is paying attention to our fate after not being an athlete or after not being active as an athlete, thank you for being an employee within the Ministry of Youth and Sports,” Anthony added as in a release to detikSport.

According to Anthony, it is hoped that the appointment of himself and other colleagues as civil servants will motivate athletes who have not yet achieved success to remain enthusiastic and fight as hard as they can. Because athletes no longer need to worry about their future when there is attention from the state.

“What is certain is that hopefully this can also be a motivation for other athletes to excel because the government really pays attention to and appreciates it,” said Anthony.

In line with Anthony, Felda Elvira Santoso as a Wushu athlete also expressed her gratitude for the government’s concern.

“Yes, I’m happy, because I received appreciation from the government, as an athlete I am also more enthusiastic, because there is appreciation from the government,” said Felda.
