Anthony Ginting made it to the quarter-finals Tokyo 2020 Olympics after winning over Kanta Tsuneyama, 21-18, 21-14.
Tight battles have been presented since the beginning of the first game. The score is often a draw to the position of 6-6.
Ginting’s efforts to turn the tables were met with results. Through a rally game, Ginting successfully led 11-8 at the interval.

Entering the second game, Ginting continued to try to dominate the game through a fierce rally that ended with a smash and a drop shot cross.
Ginting could create a difference of four points, 7-3 at the start of the second game. Ginting’s hard smash then changed the score to 8-3.
Ginting continued to dominate the game and could lead by seven points, 11-4 at the interval.
With a seven-point lead at the interval, Ginting tried hard not to lose focus. Ginting continued to play aggressively and his hard smash put him eight points clear, 14-6.
Tsuneyama also showed tenacity to pursue Ginting’s points. He had reduced the score to 10-16 but Ginting’s smash managed to stop Tsuneyama’s score. Ginting was again widen the score to 17-10.
Ginting then got a match point at 20-14 after Tsuneyama’s return came out. Ginting did not waste the first opportunity and immediately closed the game with a score of 21-14 in the second game.
Ginting qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
