Anthony Daniels’ Star Wars Collection: Golden Helmet Sells for 687,500 Pounds

Anthony Daniels offered part of his ‘Star Wars’ collection at the beginning of this week through the auction house Propstore Auctions. The absolute highlight was undoubtedly the famous golden helmet that Daniels wore for his character in the first Star Wars film from 1977. The item was expected to fetch between 500,000 and 1 million pounds. Ultimately, the helmet was sold for 687,500 pounds (approximately 786,000 euros). It is not yet known who the new owner is.

In total, Daniels offered nearly 200 items through Propstore Auction, including an original screenplay from the first “Star Wars” movie. The pieces all have a certificate of authenticity, which is also signed by Daniels. “I enjoy the fact that people cherish and exhibit the objects. Those things were not looked at in my home. They were not in the living room,” he says about the choice to sell.
