It was composed in 1847, but it was not official until 2017. It is also known as “Il Canto degli Italiani”.
El “The Song of the Italians”, and the “Inno di Mameli” or “Brothers of Italy”. Exos are the three names used to refer to the anthem of Italy, which will also be heard at Euro 2021. An anthem that has six stanzas and a chorus, and which, curiously, became official in 2017.

A little history
The Italian anthem was composed in 1847, but it was not considered official until 2017. How? So, as it reads. The lyrics were written by the Genoese Goffredo Mameli and the music was the work of Michele Novaro.
Mameli was inspired by the French anthem, known as La Marseillaise. The Canto degli Italiani was one of the most popular songs of the Second Italian War of Independence (1859) and also stood out during the Expedition of a Thousand (1860), when Garibaldi conquered the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies.
The lyrics of the hymn in Spanish
First stanza
Brothers from Italy
Italy has awakened
With the helmet of Scipio
He has covered his head
Where’s the Victory ?!
Offer this the hair
What a slave to Rome
God created her
Chorus
Let’s get together as a cohort
we are prepared for death.
We are prepared for death
Italy called
Second stanza
We have been for centuries
Trampled down, humiliated
Because we are not a people,
Because we are divided
That we bring together a single
Flag, a hope
To merge
The time has come
Third stanza
Let’s unite, let’s love each other
Union and love
Reveal to the peoples
The ways of the Lord
Let’s swear to set free
The native soil
United, by God,
Who can beat us ?!
Fourth verse
From the Alps to Sicily
Everywhere is Legnano
Every man from Ferruccio
Has the heart, has the hand
Children of Italy
They are called Balilla
The sound of every bell
On Vespers it rang
Fifth stanza
They are reeds that bend
The swords sold
Already the eagle of Austria
The feathers have lost
The blood of Italy
Polish blood
Drank, with the cossack
But his heart burned
Sixth stanza
Long live Italy
From the dream he has awakened
With the helmet of Scipio
He has covered his head
Where’s the Victory ?!
Offer this the hair
What a slave to Rome
God created her
This is how the Italian anthem sounds
