The year ends and it’s time to take stock. In the case of television networks you have to keep an eye on the audiences. The ‘share’ is everything. And a program is eliminated from the grid if it does not achieve minimum objectives. In 2023, the most watched channel from Monday to Sunday has been Antena 3, according to the annual report of Barlovento Comunicación.

However, Antena 3 is not the leader in all of Spain. There are three communities where the Atresmedia network does not prevail in this audience battle. These are the Basque Country, the Canary Islands and Catalonia. In the first two, the most watched is Telecinco, while Catalans opt for the regional TV3.

Additionally, there are some differences between the three communities. While in the Canary Islands and Catauña the second channel is Antena 3, in Euskadi they choose La 1 de Televisión Española as the second option, leaving Antena 3 in third place.

Televisions, in addition, continue to have a fight over which is the most watched depending on the time slot. Telecinco takes over the mornings, while Antena 3 prevails in the after-dinner and afternoon hours. In subsequent hours, as in prime-time, Atresmedia continues to triumph with the invincible ‘El Hormiguero’. While the ‘late-night’ is for Telecinco, the early morning goes to Energy.

If a difference is made by age, Antena 3 is the leader in all age groups, except between 25 to 44, where Telecinco is the most watched, and from 4 to 12 years old, who watch Boing.
