The National Audiovisual Council (CNA) published the list of shareholders of the companies that hold the audiovisual licenses (radio and television) on its website on Thursday. The list was released following a DNA decision on October 18. Below are the shareholders of the major news broadcasters in Romania, according to CNA.

The owner of the audiovisual licenses is the company GEOPOL INTERNATIONAL SRL, whose partners are: Bertalan Păcuraru Alexandra Beatrice (daughter of the entrepreneur Maricel Pacuraru) – 99.75% and the “Maricel Păcuraru Alaturi de Tine” Foundation (founding member Păcuraru Ionuț Maricel) – 0.25%.

Maricel Pacuraru he is a controversial businessman. He served a prison sentence after being sentenced in November 2014 to 4 years of imprisonment in the Poșta Româna case, with damages of over four million euros, in which he was accused of complicity in abuse of office against public interests. Păcuraru was released by Poarta Albă in January 2017, after serving 815 days of his 1,460-day sentence.
ANTENNA 3
The holder of the audiovisual licenses is the ANTENA 3 SA company, whose shareholders are: Voiculescu Camelia Rodica – 40.622881%, Voiculescu Corina Mirela – 36.341102%, the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for Development of Romania (founding member and president – Dan Voiculescu) – 13.036017% and Gîdea Emanuel Mihai – 10%.
Camelia and Corina Voiculescu are his daughters Dan Voiculescuthe founder of the station, also sentenced to 10 years in prison in the case of the fraudulent privatization of the Food Research Institute, but released after three years.
Mihai Gîdea is the main producer of Antena 3 and the director of the company.
ROMANIA TV
The holder of the audiovisual license is the company RIDZONE COMPUTER SRLof which he is the only shareholder Catrinel Maria Gheorghe. The station was founded in 2011 by Sebastian Ghiță, who fled to Serbia to avoid arrest in a corruption case. RTV was launched in 2011, after part of the Realitatea TV team left with the new television, which had Sebstian Ghiță as manager for a while.
In 2015 RTV Sattelite leaves the shareholding of the station and Catrinel Gheorghe enters, who until then was only a manager. In 2016, Catrinel Maria Gheorghe became the sole shareholder, taking over 4% owned by Radu Mihai Tronaru, according to PaginadeMedia.ro.
According to Mediafax, he has been working with the current RTV team for several years. In the past she would have worked at 360 Revolution SRL, which specializes in organizing events and renting equipment. 360 Revolution SRL would also be controlled by Sebastian Ghiță.

The holder of the audiovisual licenses is the company B1 TV CHANNEL SRL, whose collaborators are: Oancea Sorin – 50% e Paunescu Gheorghe Constantin – 50%.
Sorin Oancea is a media personality, formerly a minority partner with Dan Voiculescu in his media empire. Gheorghe Constantin Păunescu is a businessman who has held various positions in the Ministry of Foreign Trade since the time of Nicolae Ceauşescu, including that of director of the import-export section and director of the currency section.
DIGI 24
The main shareholder is the entrepreneur Tessari Zoltanwhich controls the RCS RDS telecommunications empire and also has activities in the energy sector.
According to CNA, the holder of the audiovisual license is the company CAMPUS MEDIA TV SRL, whose shareholders are: RCS & RDS SA – 90% and Integrasoft SRL – 10%. Integrasoft SRL’s only collaborator is RCS & RDS SA.
RCS & RDS SA Shareholders: Digi Communications NV – 93.575518%, List of Associated Individuals – 6.42443% and List of Associated Legal Entities – 0.000052%.
Shareholders of Digi Communications NV (registered office in the Netherlands and tax office in Romania – publicly listed): RCS Management SA (Class A shares) – 57.8666%, Shareholders – Class B shares – 35.4440%, Digi Communications NV (Class A shares) – 4.4093%, Teszari Zoltan (Class A shares) – 2.2801%.
RCS Management SA shareholders: Teszari Zoltan – 78.3851%, Digi Communications NV – 10%, Bugarszki Sfetozar – 4.5871%, Patap Mihai – 3.6944% and Docea Maria – 3.3333%.
