Darmstadt (ots) – The state and federal police forces are currently deployed in the Arheilgen area to capture an antelope cow. Around 6:30 p.m., the approximately 160 kg animal was spotted for the first time by road users in the area of the Rhönring. Since it then moved in the direction of Arheilgen and finally stepped onto the local railroad tracks, the line had to be completely closed to rail traffic by the federal police.
With the support of the animal rescue service Rhein-Neckar, an attempt is made to anesthetize the animal and then to hand it over to the care of the owner, a circus that is visiting nearby.
