On 18 October, the Antagon theaterAKTion will perform the “Klima X” theatrical dance show at the Mücke middle school. On Tuesday morning there will be two opportunities to experience Frankfurt’s renowned theater complex live for free: at 9:30 and 11:30 they will play in the schoolyard of the Mücke middle school and in the gym when it rains.
The particularity of this performance, according to the announcement of the event by Neue Raum Ilsdorf, is the combination of experimental movement elements that cast an unusual look at topics that burn on the nails of all of us, especially young people. And all without words: with nine actresses and actors and live music in one band, in Klima X we address people of all ages and the question arises of how we want to live together and shape our living spaces in times of crisis, war and collapse.
“Klima X” looks for the cracks of our technological age in the asphalt that covers everything and the voices from the edges. In the haunting images of falling, getting up and growing, the artists create an exchange with the public that goes beyond language. Topics such as climate catastrophe and manifestations of colonialism are vividly presented, as are the effects on the global South.

Antagon theaterAKTion is a group of multinational artists from Frankfurt am Main. They can be seen in international festivals around the world. They create shows for special occasions and organize festivals and social projects. His goal is to bring the theater to the people, directly to the streets and squares. With their unusual form of performance, they want to emotionally reach their audience and make them talk to each other.
The show is sponsored by the Hessian Ministry of Science and Art as part of the Hessian State Culture Package 3 in a sponsorship project by DIEHL + RITTER.
