Jakarta –
PT Pertamina (Persero) has just reduced the price of non-subsidized fuel or Pertamax cs. This is the second reduction in the price of Pertamax CS because last November Pertamina also reduced the price.
However, there are no signs of a reduction in subsidized fuel prices such as Pertalite. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif confirmed that Pertalite has no chance of going down.
“There’s no (chance of going down),” said Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in Jakarta, Friday (1/12) yesterday.
Arifin also confirmed that world oil prices were still high. So, the chance for Pertalite to go down is still far away.
“(Still far away) Yes, it’s US$ 82 (per barrel),” he said.
Meanwhile, Pertamina stated that it regularly evaluates selling prices in accordance with the fluctuation trend in the average price of reference world oil publications, namely the Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS)/Argus published price and the rupiah exchange rate.
Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary, Irto Ginting, said that periodic price changes adjust to price fluctuations every month, specifically in the period from the 25th to the 24th of the previous month. According to him, price changes according to fluctuation trends are normal and may be carried out by all business entities in accordance with applicable regulations.
“Because of this fluctuation, Pertamina Patra Niaga has again adjusted the selling prices of the Pertamax Series and Dex Series. Due to the downward trend, the selling price of Pertamina’s non-subsidized fuel products will fall again effective December 1 2023, after previously also falling last November,” explained Irto in his statement.
The price for Pertamax has been adjusted to IDR 13,350 per liter, Pertamax Green 95 to IDR 14,900 per liter, Pertamax Turbo to IDR 15,350 per liter, Dexlite to IDR 15,550 per liter, and Pertamina Dex to IDR 16,200 per liter. This price applies to provinces with a motor vehicle fuel tax (PBBKB) of 5%, such as in the DKI Jakarta area.
This new price determination is in accordance with the price determination formula according to Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree No. 245.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2022 concerning the formulation of prices for JBU or non-subsidized fuel.
“In accordance with the fluctuating trend in MOPS or Argus world oil prices and referring to the price formulation in accordance with this Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree, periodic changes in non-subsidized fuel prices will always occur. Our commitment is to ensure that Pertamina’s non-subsidized fuel prices are competitive and transparent for consumers.
