While Ansu Fati will probably no longer be available to FC Barcelona this season due to injury, he gives a detailed interview on the club’s website.
–
There Ansu Fati explains, among other things, who, in his opinion, the five best footballers in history are – and makes a surprising selection.
“That would be Victor Valdes, Carles Puyol, Xavi Hernandez or Andres Iniesta, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo,” said the 18-year-old shooting star of FC Barcelona.
When asked about his favorite teammate, the newcomer also mentions an interesting name: Eric Garcia. The central defender has been courted by the Blaugrana for a long time and, at least according to Pep Guardiola’s assessment, could actually play again at Camp Nou from the new season.
Fati and Garcia once trained together at the world-famous La Masia junior academy before Garcia moved to Manchester at the age of 16.

“We grew up together from a young age. We played together and he helped me get better,” said Fati of Garcia. “It was very difficult to dribble past him and we’ve been ‘at war’ since we were kids.” In addition, the duo has already played together for the Spanish national team.
Fati has scored nine goals in ten competitive games this season. But he will probably no longer be able to increase his sporting account balance. Allegedly, the young international had to have another operation on his injured knee at the beginning of January.
