Anssumane Fati started this season as a substitute, he was not satisfied with sitting on the bench and finally chose to leave Barcelona. The still only 20-year-old attacker is moving to England, Brighton confirmed the loan today.
Fati has been part of Barcelona’s first team since the 2019/2020 season and was hampered several times by health problems. He will stop at the Catalan club for at least twelve months on the balance of 112 starts and 29 goals scored.

“This is a great deal. I’m sure Ansu will take us to an even higher level,” rejoiced head coach Roberto De Zerbi.
“We are excited. He is one of the best young strikers in the world. Despite his young age, he comes to us with a lot of experience that he has gathered on the Spanish and European scene,” added technical director David Weir.
Brighton had a great season last year, winning a place in the Europa League and started very well this year as well, picking up six points from three games.
