ANSES Introduces New Financing Option for Retirees and Pensioners

The National Social Security Administration (ANSES), has presented a new financing alternative aimed at retired individuals and pensioners. This new program offers loans with a subsidized interest rate, which will facilitate the repayment of the capital in a maximum period of four years, distributed in comfortable installments.

This initiative was announced in the Official Gazette last Wednesday, through the resolution 144/2023. It should be noted that this proposal is aimed at retirees belonging to the Argentine Integrated Pension System (SIPA) and beneficiaries of Non-Contributory Pensions (PNC).

ANSES credits for retirees

Amounts and fees

As reported by ANSES, retirees will have access to a loan of up to $400,000, and in the case of pensioners, they will have a maximum of $150,000. In these lines, there will be possibilities to return the money in a period of choice of 24, 36 and 48 installments.

To find out how much is discounted per requested loan, we suggest you complete the following steps:

  1. Enter the CUIL number
  2. Select “Consult”
  3. Verify the amount to be collected and observe the discount to be made

The website indicates the following chart:

24 installments

  • Maximum amount: $337,300
  • First installment: $20,099.50

36 installments

  • Maximum amount: $400,000
  • First installment: $18,438.29

48 installments

  • Maximum amount: $400,000
  • First installment: $15,846.69

Interest rate

The cost of the loan will be 29% per year of the Annual Nominal Rate (TNA), so the interest in real terms would be higher since the rate to be considered is the CFT (Total Financial Cost).

According to ANSES, it represents the “lowest market” interest rate. Just for comparison, the installment program Now 12 has a TNA of 72.75%. In both cases it is, in any case, financing below the rate of inflation.

ANSES credits: how much money do I have to return per month

The ANSES credit of $400,000 can be repaid in 24, 36 or 48 installments. Those who use the last option, the monthly amount to pay will be $8,333.

It should be noted that retirees and pensioners can “simulate the credit” to find out the amount to pay per month, from the My ANSES platform, following these steps:

  • Enter My ANSES with CUIL and Social Security Code, from the mobile app or anses.gob.ar.
  • In the menu, select the option ANSES Credits> Request credit – Retirement and Pensions.
  • Simulate your credit, choosing amount and number of installments.

Inscription

The registration to have these credits began this Wednesday and must be done with prior appointment at the agency’s offices. The agency reported that it will also open its doors on Saturdays to speed up the start of procedures.
