Anses does not pay the universal child allowance retroactively

Vulnerable families can process the Universal Child Allowance (AUH). The National Social Security Administration (Considered) grants this benefit up to the age of 18 and without an age limit for children with disabilities. However, it should be noted that the benefit is not retroactive. That is, it is paid from the time it is processed.

AUH is a social assistance for children of unemployed and unregistered workers. It also applies to social self-employed workers and domestic employees.

To access the benefit, the child must be up to 18 years old or have a disability and be single.

In addition, the parents must be Argentine and reside in Argentina. However, foreigners can apply for the allocation if they have a National Identity Document (DNI) and have resided in the country for at least two years.

Processing the Universal Child Allowance online

The processing of the AUH requires that the family group data be loaded into Anses. To do so, it is necessary to enter the page of the pension agency with the CUIL and the Social Security Code.

When using the Virtual Assistance service, you must upload the required documentation. This includes the birth certificates of the children, the marriage or cohabitation certificate and the National Identity Document (DNI) of each member of the family group.

Once the documentation has been verified, Anses pays the AUH. However, there is no retroactive payment for the years prior to the administration.

Anses retains 20% of the AUH each month

Anses deducts 20% of the AUH monthly. This money is retained until the following year. To receive it, the beneficiary must submit the Libreta Form. This way, they can prove their school attendance, mandatory vaccinations and doctor visits.
