The National Social Security Administration (Anses) will announce a new increase for retirees, pensioners and holders of allowances such as the Universal Child Allowance (AUH) and Pregnancy Allowance (AUE).
In parallel, the pension organization advances with the February 2024 payment schedule which includes a bonus of $55,000 for retirees and an extra of up to $91,000 for mothers who collect AUH or AUE.
According to the Retirement Mobility Law that establishes quarterly updates, Anses must increase the amounts of retirements, pensions and allowances in March.
The regulations for updating salaries take 50% of the Anses collection and 50% of the Indec salary index and the Average Taxable Remuneration of Stable Workers (RIPTE).
How much is the increase for retirees and AUH
The official data on how much retirement benefits will increase is not yet known. According to private consultants, the increase would be between 32% to 35%:
The consulting firm PxQ, led by Emmanuel Álvarez Agis, estimates that salaries could increase by approximately 35% in March, with inflation that could exceed 76% in the December-January-February quarter.
However, the Institute for Analysis of Fiscal Reality (IARAF) maintains that the increase will be 32% in March 2024.
If the increase for mobility is 32%, the amounts would be as follows:
Minimum retirement income: $139,541.
Universal Child Allowance (AUH): total $53,718, although 80% of the benefit ($42,974) is settled.
Pregnancy Allowance: $53,718.
Family Allowance per Child (SUAF): $53,718. Source: Bae Business
