The police have discovered a graffiti sprayer who is said to be responsible for numerous graffiti in Central and Lower Franconia and in Hesse. The 20-year-old is said to have smeared a total of 62 property walls, traffic signs, power boxes and garages in the Ansbach district alone. The police assume that in the spring he was out and about with permanent marker mainly in Weidenbach and Merkendorf, where he applied various lettering. After a tip from the population – a witness was able to name him – the Ansbach police station convicted him. In the Ansbach district alone, the damage it caused is estimated at 35,000 euros. But also in Würzburg the suspect is said to be responsible for a whole series of damage to property through graffiti. There he was recorded by a surveillance camera shortly after a crime. In Würzburg, property damage totaling 25,000 euros was incurred on 95 objects. Most recently, the 20-year-old was arrested in the act in Frankfurt am Main.
