Anouk continues: “I was discovered as a model when I was eighteen and I had only worked since. I was extremely tired and crying and noticed that I had to put the brakes on, otherwise I would shoot off the rails. I was at home also not the nicest at all, had a very short fuse. “
But Anouk not only struggled with herself, she also had concerns for her sister; in whom acute leukemia was diagnosed last year. “We all jumped into survival mode. My sister just needed to get better, period,” Anouk shares her concerns in the interview.

These were exciting times; her sister needed a stem cell transplant and Anouk was no match. Finally, a suitable donor and woman in Argentina were found last summer. And that was the straw for the presenter: “After that I completely collapsed, I could only sleep and cry. All the tensions of those months before came out.” Her husband Edwin was her support and support at the time. Anouk: “I could cry too with him, I didn’t have to be strong for a while.”
