Medical for the industry, 2021 has been a year of tensions. The pandemic has acted as a catalyst, showing the industry’s weaknesses and at the same time prompting solutions to address them.
The industry points out that it will be necessary to learn to live with Covid-19 in the future, and one of the biggest challenges of the past year in Latvia is the vaccination campaign.
“This year has shown the important role that medicine plays in the normal functioning of society – if a collapse occurs, serious problems will develop throughout the country,” says 2021. According to SIA “Veselības centrs 4” Chairman of the Board Māra Rēvalds, in 2021 the industry has experienced an economic recovery compared to 2020, when only the medical laboratory segment showed excellent performance. He is cautiously optimistic about next year.
