Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court granted parole to the accused in the murder case to marry his girlfriend. A young man named Anand, who was sentenced to ten years in prison, was given parole for 15 days considering the exceptional situation. Anand’s mother and girlfriend Neeta approached the court.
30-year-old Neeta told the court that they have been in love for nine years and if Anand does not get parole, the family will at least marry him to Matar. But the government lawyer told the court that there is no rule to grant parole for marriage. According to the jail manual, parole can be granted in exceptional circumstances. Nagaprasanna said.
Anand was sentenced to life imprisonment in the murder case. Later it was reduced to ten years.
